  • Condition: This Violin is in the best condition I have seen for any 100+ year old instrument. The finish looks very very nice it has a nice shine and my STRINGS TECH says it is very likely the original finish. This has 3 tight expertly repaired top cracks and no cracks anywhere else. One on the upper bout that was repaired long ago and 2 cracks out from the saddle near the tailpiece that were just repaired by a fine violin repairmen and he did a fantastic job. No cracks are near the soundpost. The tuning pegs, saddle, tailpiece and fingerboard are ebony the top is spruce and the back sides and neck are maple, the back and sides are beautiful fiddle back maple as is the neck . This was given a thumbs up by my repairman. I am told this is a very fine German made Violin. And likely built before the first world war. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have. See pictures they should give a good idea of its cond. The body is approx.14 1/8" long not counting neck bump..

    Description

    CIRCA 1904 SALVADORA DE DURRO VIOLIN IN VERY FINE COND.
    This Violin was most likely made in Germany in or around 1904. It is a 4/4 size violin. It is approx. 14 1/8" long on the body plus the neck protrusion This has a very nice finish I am told by my violin guy the finish is very likely the original finish, it a spirit varnish I am told.  If you have a questions about size please verify it before you agree to purchase. This is and incredibly great sounding instrument.
    Their are 2 labels inside the violin one reads" Special model of Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat 1904 " The other label reads "Salvadora de Durro B&J New York Sole Importers"  Comes in What is thought to be its original case all the latches work and the springs still move another sign this was not used to often. The case is in nice   condition,  no bow is included.  I have this priced based on the prices I have seen these sell for.

It has already been repaired and given a good report by my repairman and should be ready to play but shipping can be hard on any instrument and how and instrument is handled is really out of my control so this is sold as is No returns No refunds.
