Lasorda, who managed the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1976-1996, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in1997 following a career where he won 1,599 games, two World Series and two more National League pennants – all with the Dodgers.
The 2014 National Baseball Hall of Fame commemative coins, which had a distinctive concave shape reminisicent of a baseball, were among the most popular US Mint releases in recent memory. To celebrate these coins, NGC licensed the National Baseball Hall of Fame logo as well as facsimile signatures of different Hall of Famers.
