This box is heavy, it weight 2 pounds and is very sturdy.
As seen in the pics, there is a ribbon inside which you can tie around vhs tape, the ribbon also goes under the vhs tape, so you can pull the vhs tape out easier, it fits in the box kinda tight.
Strong sturdy hinges in back of box work well without creek or hesitation.
I would say this is an awesome gift for a baby shower, but there is little to no chance a new baby will be filmed in vhs.
I guess the best use for this is to store a favorite vhs you don't want to getting ruined, maybe even a baby video.  This pewter box stays closed with a heavy lid and heavy base, if you have a vhs tape you don't want getting lost or ruined in some cardboard box somewhere, this pewter box will store and ensure one vhs tape is protected.  (This thing might even survive a fire, but any vhs inside would surely be melted anyway)
