    Description

802.11b/g WiFi Transceiver Board, RN-131C WiFly GSX
    WRL-10050
This is a breakout board for the RN-131C WiFly GSX module, an ultra-low power 802.11b/g transceiver. This board breaks out all pins of the RN-131C to two 17-pin 0.1"-pitch headers. The board measures
    1.2" × 1.8"
and comes fully assembled as pictured. The header pin rows are 1.1" apart.
The Roving Networks RN-131C is a complete embedded TCP/IP solution. The combination of ultra-low power and the ability to wake up, connect to a wireless network, send data, and return to sleep mode in less than 100 milliseconds, allows the RN-131 to run for years on two standard AAA batteries. It uses only 35mA when awake and 4µA when asleep.
The RN-131C incorporates a 2.4 GHz radio, processor, TCP/IP stack, real-time clock, crypto accelerator, power management, and analog sensor interfaces. This complete solution is pre-loaded with software to simplify integration and minimize development time for applications. In the simplest configuration, the hardware requires only four connections (PWR, TX, RX, GND) to create a wireless data connection.
The RN-131C is rated for commercial temperature range, 0°C to +70°C).
