    Description

In the old days it was a custom when visiting a Native elder for advice to bring a gift to show appreciation and respect. It was common knowledge if the request was important, the larger gift. It was not uncommon to even spend time in the elders home to work and pay for his advice and council. Granting Indian names by an Indian elder was one of great significance thus valuables item such as Eagle feathers, hides, stones and pony’s were given as payment. Even today when friends and martial arts students visit me, some bring a small gift. I gave a lecture at UCLA and the professor gifted me with a fine meal and Indian blanket in appreciation. These words should stand tall for I am one year shy of 80 and a 4/4 Choctaw Indian. That said, there are thousands of ‘new age Indians’ that will say, ‘to pay for an Indian name is a dirty deed’. Most of these people have no significant Indian blood at all, but will profess to know our history because once told they had a Great Great Grandmother who was full blood because she had high cheek bones. Thousands are guilty of anointing themselves frivolous Indian names disrespecting our Native culture. Therefore the choice is yours: allow an authentic Indian elder who is full blood Choctaw that possess a CDIB card stating so and member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma assign your name. Or listen to non-Indian or those with insignificance NDN blood dictate what you can or cannot do. The certificate that I issue you has no legal standing in a court of law. However if you choose to respect Native culture, this elder and purchase your Indian name from me, your name is authentic. With Respect Chieftain Adrian Roman 4/4 Mississippi Choctaw.Chieftain Roman 4/4 Mississippi and his American Indian Warrior Council is offering a certificate from his organization recognizing your tribal affiliation and Indian name if you have one. If you do not have an Indian Name, I can suggest one for you. Chieftain is a member of the Oklahoma Choctaw Tribe. He is a 10th degree Founder of Red Warrior/Tushkahoma and a 9th degree in Ed Parkers American Kenpo. This is not a legal doc.
