Mich. 1911This is a extremely unique opportunity to buy a violin reconstructed one hundred and fifteen years ago by famous American Luthier Oliver L. Fraser. The original origin of this violin is German, it is very likely a late 18th century to eary 19th century violin. What is known is of this instrument is that Master Luthier Fraser deemed it worthy of his time and expertise to fully restore and label. One hundred fifteen years later with some professional maintenance and light cleaning, this is a fully functional, structurally sound, beautiful hand made violin near or past is bicentennial. It has been repaired solidly and would be ready to play with the benefit of a proper set up. Unique, irreplaceable and a stunning work of functional art. This violin comes with bow that is in need of repair and a old wooden case. Sound post can be seen through the F hole in the upright position but I can not guarantee it will stay in that position through shipment. Comes with hardware shown in photos and I will include a departing note left about the violin, from the violin's late owner to the owner to be (which became me). I am happy to answer questions and will provide additional pictures upon request. This will ship professionally packaged and fully insured as soon as payment for the violin is received.
