Description
1947 Vintage Golden Pearl Vacumatic Junior fountain pen. This pen was made in 1947 as indicated by the date code 7 marked on the barrel and number 7 stamped on the Nib.This pen is the Junior model, the name Junior is deceiving to me because I would think a Junior to be a smaller version of the standard size (Major) Vacumatic but it’s not, it’s basically the same full size pen measuring 5.00”. The difference is the the 2 thin bands on the cap and non blue Diamond clip.
This pen features laminated Golden Pearl barrel and cap with gold plated trim, a black cap jewel, two thin cap bands, and an arrow style clip, not a blue Diamond. The Cap trim (clip and bands) have some minor plating wear evident. This pen is fitted with a firm fine 14K gold Parker arrow nib date code 7.
Other than the plating wear noted this 74 year old pen is in very good condition, no defects, some micro scratches here and there commonly found with vintage pens, nothing visible to the naked eye (no cracks, chips, dings or dents). The barrel imprint is bold, the semi transparent barrel shows some ink view transparency. The blind cap matches up nicely to the barrel. The pen has been fully restored and is working well.
As you can see, this pen is priced to sell, and will sell fast so don’t delay in
