RETROFLASHBACKS ANTIQUE VIOLIN 4/4 FIDDLE WITH BOW AND CASE AMERICAN ?

Description

Antique full size violin from the late 19th c. Looks like a Stradivarius model.   Two repaired hair lines lower left bout as shown.  Violin looks like it was completely restored and refinished (including tiger maple chin rest, unusual!).  The head was slightly cracked and repaired and the previous owner even drilled and plugged the old tuner holes with hard wood and then re-drilled and fitted pegs (now that's a job!).  The two piece back is tiger maple.  Inside blocked and lined. Case is old and coming apart but serves the purpose.  Comes with an old bow, needs strings and unmarked. Overall a very sturdy old outfit probably from 19th c. Has three strings (needs a G), or could benefit from a new set of your favorite strings and a setup.
