RETROFLASHBACKS STRADIAVRIUS VIOLIN GERMAN C1900 FIDDLE VINTAGE VIOLIN 4/4 SIZE

Description

Vintage  Stradivarius Cremona violin. Probably from the c1900 period. Full size 4/4 violin. Would make a great fiddle. I do not see any major cracks. Maybe a hairline from upper right bout down 3 inches, or it could just be a grain darkened in the wood. Either way its solid. Someone in the 40s replaced the tuning pegs with a common tuning kit. Makes it easier to keep in tune when playing a fiddle, and much faster. I guess you could switch it back if you want to. Looks like the lower ribs under tailpiece have had old repair. Lots of good patena. Just has a label in it that is as shown. Violin plays but new owner can set it up anyway he desires. The case is nice inside, but has lots of wear on corners outside. Still solid and very usable.   Would make someone a very nice violin.
