    Description

    USPS First day cancel souvenir page for the Family Planning stamp.  Due to the subject matter, this page was not included in the 1972 subscription for Souvenir Pages; some were postmarked at the International Stamp Shown on the first day of issue; all the pages, including the unofficials are quite rare.
    Page included
    Family Planning Souvenir Page, cancelled March 18, 1972, at the International Stamp Show in New York. The page includes a Scott 1455.  The Scott number for the souvenir page is SP308 (Stamp Show cancel variation).  The USPS number for the page is (19)72-00 (Stamp Show cancel variation).  This page is flat, not folded; it is printed on unwatermarked paper.
    Condition is shown in the pics.  This page is post office fresh with little if any toning; the reverse is not shown as my scanner just produced a white uniform page.  The page is completely uniform in color; variations from the scan so not represent variations in the page.
    Pages cancelled by the USPS at the NY Show are reported to be even scarcer than the so-called official pages with watermark.
    I ran across a stash of these pages a while back and have been selling some of them over the last few months; I only have a few left, so don't miss out.
    The 2019 Scott catalog value for unofficial pages is 0.00, with official pages are listed at 0.00; 2018 Brookman values the official pages at 0.00.
    Given the size, need for stiff packaging, and corner protection, pages must be shipped at the package rate (or priority mail).
