very well preserved, hard to find, relief sculpture by well know artist Fritz Diller, German (1875-1946). Beautiful detail! Fritz Diller, 1875-1946, was a prolific, infamous German sculptor who created both relief plaques and 3d sculptures. This fine example depicts a mighty Elk. The artist has captured the great strength and majesty of this Stag with the muscle and fur details. It is signed on the lower left. Nicely framed in ebonized oak.
Condition:
No chips, cracks or repairs. Just typical antique wear to the plating.
