    Description

Here is an iconic bear by the renowned Zuni artist, Pernell Laate.   Along with his brother, Maxx,  Pernell Latte was one of the first Zuni artists to develop the realistic style for which they became famous.   Sadly, Pernell Latte has passed away, but his work inspires, and influences, many contemporary Zuni carvers.
There is an intensity to Pernell Latte's carvings.  This bear is looking at something, and is ready to  reach out a paw, or to take the next step...or...
Mr. Latte worked with the natural colors of the antler as he carved.   Carving and sanding into the antler's surface also added  transitions.  These subtleties are incorporated into this bear's fur; the nape of the neck and the belly are lighter than the shoulders...there is a white spot on the bear's muzzle...the muzzle is lighter than the face.
The bear is in the same beautiful condition as when I purchased it at the Autry Museum's Gift Store circa 2008.
    This bear:
    is about 2 & 3/4" tall.
is about 1 & 1/4" front to back.  (nose to back of base)
    is about 3/4" wide.
    weighs about 24.4 grams.
    is signed on the base.
The carving will travel USPS First Class Package with tracking/ insurance and signature, or USPS Priority Mail, with signature, as you prefer.  (signature is an ebay requirement for items over 0.00.)
    Shipping is within the USA.
Due to the current circumstances, I'm combining trips to the Post Officce.  There's a 5 day shipping period.  I'll ship as soon as I can.  I appreciate your patience.
Returns are accepted.  The buyer must contact me within 14 days and the carving must be returned in the same condition as when sold.  The buyer pays for return shipping, tracking and insurance.
I do my best to photograph carvings as accurately as possible.  I understand that images vary from device to device.
(items look much better on my phone than on my laptop and I've learned to double-check the images!)
If you have any questions, or would like to see an image at another view/angle, please contact me.
Thank you for considering this wonderful bear by Pernell Latte.
All Best Wishes for Your Good Health and Happiness,
    Squirrelwhiskers   :)
