ZUNI FABIAN CHEAMA SERPENTINE CHAMELEON FETISH

Description

Zuni Fabian Cheama carved this stunning chameleon from serpentine.  This piece of serpentine has layers of dark green and includes a layer of tan across the middle of the chameleon.  Fabian carved this chameleon with a super hood at the top of his head, he has inlaid coral eyes.  His tail is curled along his left hind legs and Fabian carved scales on the body of the chameleon, on his head and on his curled tail.  Fabian Cheama carves incredible fetishes, they are very realistic and very detailed.  It often takes him a week to carve a single fetish  This chameleon is a wonderful piece of Zuni art and is 1 3/4" long, 5/8" wide and 1 1/8" tall at its tallest point.

Fabian signed the bottom of the carving with his initials and "Zuni"
