Description

Zuni Maxx Laate carved this bear from a piece of Boulder Opal.   Maxx carved this bear crouching with his front and rear legs tucked beneath him.  And he has a section of Boulder opal as a blaze on the top of his head and along his nose.  This bear has his head turned slightly to his left.  He could be a pocket bear to be carried in your pocket to give you strength.  He has inlaid turquoise cabochon eyes.  This Boulder Opal is from Australia.  I bought it for Maxx to carve so that I can offer these stunning pieces on eBay.  This carving is 1/2"
tall, 1 1/8" long and 1/2" thick.
A bear is an animal of strength and introspection.  A bear has the power of the soul.  A bear lightens emotional burdens.
Maxx signed the bottom of the base with his hallmark, his first name.
